Host & Producer
Paulette Lee is a senior, solo international nomad, a retired international development communications specialist and former award winning broadcast journalist from Los Angeles, California. She started her "Real Issues for Women Over 60" podcast because, she says, she was fed up with content for older women that only focused on what she calls "the 3-D's: disease, disability and death". She wanted to use her journalism background to research and discuss issues of interest to older women who still want to live vibrant lives, and that podcast has been named "One of the five best podcasts for older women" by AARP. Upon deciding to become a nomad at age 78 -- selling or giving away just about everything -- decided to share her experiences with women of all ages (who spoke English well) because, she says, "women everywhere are worthy of being heard".

Especially discrimination against older women and women of color. One theory for why it exists, is that it's because of how the media portray us.
